The Book: SW WASHINGTON PADDLE LAUNCH GUIDE

How to order my book about 70 launch sites with destinations:

I’ve printed a book for people who like to paddle, pedal, row and or sail their car top little dinghies, kayaks, canoes, SUPs, or inflatables on flat water with the shore nearby. 70 launch sites are covered from Ocean Shores, east to Stella and Clatskanie, and south to the Nehalem River at Wheeler. Each launch is given a page, map, address, directions and GPS coordinates along with area maps suggested destinations and what to expect. I have visited each to ensure accuracy and paddled over 75% of them as written about elsewhere on this site (use the ‘Blog Posts…’ link above).

Owning a kayak, I would see others with their little boats atop their vehicles and would wonder where they were going. I searched blogs, books and google earth to compile a list which I shared with friends and their out of town visitors. Finally taking it more seriously I visited each of the launch sites making corrections to my research and printed and bound up a ninety page book to share. I’m looking forward to exploring more of our local waterways in the future.

Presently it’s available for $14.79 plus tax (=$16) at Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum , Time Enough Books and The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center’s bookstore at Cape Disappointment State Park, all in Ilwaco Washington. The Sou’wester Lodge in Seaview WA carries them in their lobby.

If you live eastward,  Redmen Hall (looks like a white church – but is an old schoolhouse) in Skamokawa WA carries them. To the north The Northwest Carriage Museum in Raymond WA also stocks this book in their store.  Or simply, I’ll mail one to you in a padded envelope for $20. Email me at allanymail@hotmail.com
